After a five-year hiatus, the Debrecen City Ball was held again on January 25, 2025. The event was organized for the eighth time by the local government, in collaboration with the University of Debrecen and the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This year, the ball once again focused on charity, with the proceeds going to support the Talent Foundation for Young Debreceners.
SZINORG Universal Zrt. is dedicated to supporting young talents and regularly participates in events that help the development of the local community. Our company joined the call for sponsors announced by the Debrecen Ball. As a token of recognition, Gyula Szűcs, the president and CEO of our group, received a certificate of appreciation from László Papp, the mayor of Debrecen, and Zoltán Szilvássy, the rector of the University of Debrecen, at this prestigious event.
The event was supported by more than forty Debrecen-based companies and organizations. Many of the city’s key corporate players attended, as the ball always offers a networking opportunity.
“In Debrecen, this is a tradition, as we’ve had very serious, three-day balls, as well as chamber balls. We continue that tradition and the goal is to contribute significantly as a dynamically creative community,” highlighted Ferenc Miklóssy, the president of the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
